Grace, Hope & Peace, Friend; It wasn't long after "God opened the door of faith to the Gentiles," (Acts 14:27) until people began raising up barriers. "Those people can't come through unless..."
Paul, Barnabas, and some others were sent to Jerusalem about this issue. After some debate, Peter reminded the assembled leaders about his experience with the Roman centurion and his family - (Acts 10) how God had poured out His Spirit on them. (Acts 15:2-9) And Peter challenged them,
"We are all saved by grace, not rituals." In her song, "To God be the Glory," Fanny Crosby wrote, "The vilest offender who truly believes, that moment from Jesus a pardon receives." It's not 'keeping the law', 'avoiding certain things', or 'following certain rituals' that reconciles us to God! It's "believing in Jesus" (John 3:16) - 'FAITH' - that saves us.
Stop looking at others and saying. "You aren't doing IT right." - whatever 'IT' is! Are YOU giving God the glory for pardoning YOU?
We can't praise Him enough! El HaKavod - God of glory - thank you that You did everything to reconcile me to Yourself.
Give Him the Glory, |
